Current occupation: Property Consultant for Property.CoZa Lighthouse on the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal

Qualifications: NQF5 in Financial Services.
Qualifications in progress: Logbook, NQF4 & PDE Property related to be completed in 24 months.

Goals:
My goal is to be the best property consultant, known in my local community and top of mind in my area. I am a very loyal person, with high values and high standards, with attention to detail and personal interest in every interaction with existing and potential clients, seeking the best level of service for both buyers & sellers.
My previous experience I have been in the banking sector for 38 years. During this long-lived career, I have been in all positions for junior clerks to the management team. Later in my banking career I became a credit official building up knowledge and much needed experience for my next roll in assessing and management credit facilities for mortgage bond applications. This then led to my new roll as Head of Home loans. This was a position with great responsibilities and being the largest revenue income generator (the flagship branch) in the KZN region – I had to be target focused and sales performance of my department was a top priority. This was where I discovered my love and interest in the property market. I was hands-on with both the application, data capturing, collection of the required documents to do the credit application and obtaining pre approved bonds up to the final grant and start to finish the registration of the mortgage bond over the related property. With this came the constant interaction with bond and transfer attorneys, following up the progress and assisting when needed to speed up the process to get to the final registration at the deeds office. I was in this position until the bank centralized home loans.
During this time, I also started buying distressed properties, renovating them and then selling again, this was a great adventure and also came with a lot of learning and challenges that gave me experience that I would have otherwise never gained.
I then became head of cash again bring a lot of responsibility and huge risk management. This position I held till I left the bank.
I enjoy the property industry and also find it interesting. I am taking my role as a property consultant seriously and want to be known as a consultant of choice.
