South Beach is a suburb located just south of Central Durban, Kwazulu Natal. South Beach is situated between North Beach and Durban Point along the coastline. The Berea train station is within a five minute drive and allows easy access to surrounding suburbs and business hubs. The harbour borders the suburb and provides a naturally beautiful and vibey atmosphere. Addington Hospital is situated in South Beach and there are a few shopping malls in the area including; China Mall, Oriental Shopping Mall and Beachview Mall. Ushaka Marine World is the largest marine theme park in Africa and is right next door in Durban Point, and promises a fun-filled day with family on the cable cars and in the numerous pools. This area is steeped in history, exhibited by the Port Natal Maritime Museum, the Old Court House Museum and Kwamuhle Museum of Durban’s history.
