Valhalla is a suburb of Pretoria in the city of Tshwane. The name Valhalla is derived from Norse mythology meaning a place of glory or heaven. The suburb has a rich military history, which is displayed in museums such as the SAAF Air Force Museum at the Zwartkop Air Force base and the Air Force Memorial. The area was developed to house military personnel and their families, especially those from the Swartkop Air Force Base. Today people from all walks of life have found their homes here.
