Built around 1900 during the heyday of the sandstone architectural era, the house has been lovingly preserved and in pristine condition. 

A wide front stoep calls for scones and tea as the feathered visitors swoop in to enjoy the bird baths. Marvelous stained glass designs on the front door add to the old-world feeling. A generous reception area with lovely Oregon wood floors and high ceilings is your portal into country living at its finest.

Along the passage are two spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Large windows let in ample natural light. The main bedroom has a wide fireplace to ward off the winter chills. An outside door leads to a private stoep.

Two additional rooms can be used as needed, as bedrooms or a study. Next to these rooms is a general-use bathroom.

The lounge is roomy with the classic fireplace as the centerpiece. Adjacent is the farm-style open-plan kitchen designed for cooking, dining, and having a natter around a cup of boeretroos. Large, handcrafted wooden cupboards make stocking up easy. Wide windows gather the afternoon light. Cooking is done on a new gas-and-electric combo stove.

Two exterior doors lead to the front and side verandas and the scullery. 

The main entertainment area consists of a large stoep with a built-in braai, a back garden, and a secluded pool area. Two apricot trees are heavy with fruit in summer and two ornamental cherry trees decorate the scene—a lovely view of Ventersberg from the garden.

Five water tanks provide water security.

Cars are protected under a double shade-net carport.
