The North West is an inland province that borders Botswana. Most of the province has widespread flat grassland areas with scattered trees and shrubs. The grand Vaal River flows adjacent to the southern border. In the northwest the gorgeous Magaliesberg mountain range extends 130 km across the province. North West is home to the opulent and glamorous Sun City, with its incredible premier hotels, lavish casino and fun-filled waterpark. Close by is Pilanesberg National Park, which is home to an extinct volcano and over seven thousand animals, including the Big Five.
